The Kowalski’s cheese guy strikes again. This cheese is similar in texture to my beloved robiola, but more pungent and made with 100% cow milk. Also, it comes in delightful little 1.5-inch rounds (a.k.a. personal size!)

Family Dinner
I love making dinner at Ben’s parents’ house in Ramsey. There aren’t many good area restaurants, and the decent ones are overpriced (I’m looking at you, Canyon Grille) and are neither memorable nor veg-friendly. Doesn’t it bother you when you know you are paying $$$ for something you could make at home for a tenth of the cost, and possibly make even better?

Breakfast consisted of fresh soymilk from my new soymilk maker(!), and chocolate stout cake (in both batter and cooked form). A more detailed post on the stout cake will come - it is fantastic. I sure wish I could spend every morning birthday style.

Farmers' Market Madness
Was the St. Paul market ever crowded yesterday! But I still managed to snag some excellent things: corn, raspberries, green beans, bok choy, grape tomatoes, carrots, shallots, lettuce, and a head of broccoli as big as my head (only $2!!!) I also made it in time to get some pan de sal from A Toast to Bread. Also, the nice man who sold me the shallots gave me some hot peppers for free. It totally...
